Leach Botanical Garden
In the 1920s and '30s, Lilla Leach was a noted Northwest botanist. She and her husband, John Leach, lovingly built this garden together, and in the late 1970s they donated it to the city of Portland. Diverse types of garden displays include a bog garden, rock gardens, Northwest woodland, and a southeastern azalea garden. The Manor House is the visitor center, featuring beautiful woodwork. This garden is quite a ways out from downtown and will mostly appeal to serious enthusiasts.
